We are Interior Designers first, but with a combined 100-plus years of experience in designing for healthcare, long-term care and senior living, our design staff brings something truly unique, something beyond a basic love for healthcare design, to the table: passion for caring.
At MTMC Interior Design, we have a deep understanding of the importance of color, light, textures and materials and how they can affect long-term care facility residents' well-being. We are mindful of light level consistency when going from one room or space to another, and we know that sounds can agitate or disorient the hearing impaired, so we are careful to select furnishings that absorb unwanted sounds. What's more, we always set out to incorporate design ideas that respect independence, deliver helpful functonality to meet residents' needs, provide clear way-finding and combine style with safety and comfort.

Get to know MTMC Interior Design
Our team consists of designers with strong backgrounds in long-term care, acute care and hospitality design. Additionally, we have full-time dedicated project coordinators with vast experience in:

Jacki has over 35 years experience in healthcare and design industries, 31 of those years with the organization, having joined Invacare in 1995 and MTMCID in 2019 via acquisition. Currently Jacki is Manager of Design Operations. Her primary responsibilities had included operational leadership of the MTMC Interior Design team. As of February 2014, her responsibilities were expanded to also include commercial sales. She started her career in the purchasing department then taking on roles of increasing responsibility in areas such as customer service, tradeshow oversight and product management. Jacki is considered by customers and employees as being a driven and passionate leader who strives to deliver high quality design and exceptional customer satisfaction. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design and she and her husband reside in Ellisville, Missouri and have one adult son.
Laurie has a degree in interior design from Missouri State University and studied architecture for three years at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She holds 30 years of experience in healthcare design and has also designed for the hospitality and retail markets. Laurie’s diverse background and experience help her bring beautiful and functional designs to senior living.
Karen has been with MTMC Interior Design for 25 years, working in different positions in the company, including quoting and project coordination. She holds an Associates Degree in Business from Northwest College in Archbold, Ohio. When she is not working, Karen enjoys outdoor activities including taking her dogs for walks. She also rides motorcycles and is working on obtaining her pilot’s license.
Dawn received her BS in Interior Design from Missouri State University and has been working in this industry for over 30 years. She has experience in hospitality design and is passionate about healthcare design because it allows her to create beautiful, functional spaces for seniors with a hospitality flair. Dawn has been married for 27 years and has three daughters. She enjoys traveling, reading and keeping up with her friends in her free time.
Alys holds a BS in marketing and an AA in horticulture. She provides international customer service support for short and long-term care beds and also handles project coordination for MTMC Interior Design sales of furnishings, beds, casegoods and other items. Alys’s experience in sales support and customer service provide an excellent addition to the MTMC Interior Design team.
Christine has been a project coordinator with MTMCID for over eight years, and previously worked with design firms, including a design/build firm and a warehousing company. Christine’s experience and dedication to the field make her a perfect fit for MTMC Interior Design.
Marcy received her BS degree in Interior Design from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She enjoyed a long career with a design-build firm specializing in nationwide healthcare projects, along with some hospitality and financial institution projects. The company closed and Marcy was happy to join MTMC so she could continue to make a positive difference in the healthcare design field. When not working, Marcy enjoys hiking, gardening, bird watching, and traveling. She has been to 47 of the 50 states and visiting the last 3 states are on her bucket list.
Melissa received a certificate in Office Administration from St. Charles Community College and continues to take classes to keep her skills current. For the past twelve years Melissa has worked as an office coordinator. Melissa interacts with multiple people involved in the design process, from customers to vendors and accounting. She enjoys being a part of making senior lives easier and more comfortable.
Patti was born in Indiana and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in interior design. After owning her own art consulting and manufacturing business, Patti joined her best and favorite customer, MTMC Interior Design. Patti’s hobbies include reading, bike riding and Cardinals baseball.
Lewis joined the Interior Design Team in May 2016 as Operations Supervisor. With over 20 years of Management experience, Lewis brings a vast background encompassing areas from Operations, Human Resources Management and Financial Reporting. Current day-to-day responsibilities for Lewis at MTMC Interior Design includes overseeing all current projects and orders, managing daily staff needs, working directly with the Sales Reps, as well as payroll and accounts payables/receivables. Thriving in an ever-changing daily environment to avoid monotony, Lewis loves the role he plays every day, as well as the type of work we do; designing and improving the spaces where residents and patients reside to provide the best quality of life. Lewis enjoys working on an endless list of projects at home and is quite handy. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and resides in St. Louis with his spouse and French Bulldog, Murray.
